Things You Can Do
Protect yourself and others
COVID-19
COVID-19 is caused by a type of coronavirus. We need to work together to prevent the spread of this disease.
Safer at home
Watch out for mandatory “stay at home” orders being announced by the State of Hawai‘i. Please follow all rules to keep you and your family safe.
Shaka, no shake
If you are sick or around someone who is sick, do not shake hands, or exchange physical greetings.
Keep your distance
If you are sick or around someone who is sick, practice social distancing (stay at least 6 feet from others).
Wear a cloth mask
If you are sick or around someone who is sick, wear a mask to protect yourself and others.
Practice good hygiene
Cover your cough with the bend of your elbow or a tissue.
Don’t touch your face
Avoid touching your eyes, mouth and nose.
Wash your hands, a lot
Wash your hands frequently and for at least 20 seconds. If water is not available, use alcohol-based sanitizer with an alcohol content of 60% or more.
Don’t spread illness
Stay at home when you are sick, except to get medical care and isolate yourself from family members as much as possible.
Keep it clean
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
Call your doctor
If you have severe symptoms, seek medical care.
