The HPHA accept applications for the following waiting lists from:
8:00 a.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026, to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026.
Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Waiting List. This waiting list serves the HPHA's HCV program for the island of Oahu. The HPHA will accept 1,000 applications for all voucher sizes. A lottery will be used to select applicants to be placed on this waiting list.
Project-Based Voucher Waiting List for the Towers at Kuhio Park. The HPHA will accept applications for two-bedroom (2) units only. The HPHA will accept 600 applications. A lottery will be used to select applicants to be placed on this waiting list.
Project-Based Voucher Waiting List for Palolo Homes. The HPHA will accept applications for three-bedroom (3) and four-bedroom (4) units only. The HPHA will accept 300 applications for each bedroom size. A lottery will be used to select applicants to be placed on this waiting list.
All of the HPHA's programs aim to provide affordable housing that is decent, safe, and sanitary for Hawaii's families.

Public housing residents can now pay their rent online. You can choose to make a one-time payment or setup automatically recurring payments from a bank account.
The HPHA manages and operates federal and State public housing. Both programs combine to serve approximately 5,200 families.
The HPHA offers monthly rental assistance on the island of Oahu through the Housing Choice Voucher Program, formerly known as Section 8.
