The Hawaii Public Housing Authority (HPHA) announces the cancellation of the previously advertised opening of the waiting lists. This decision is in accordance with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations, Hawaii Administrative Rules Chapter 17-2028, and the HPHA’s Federal Public Housing Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP). Any application submitted during the open period will be cancelled. A technical outage in one of HPHA’s three primary servers has corrupted the waitlist data resulting in incomplete applications, rejected applications, and denied access to some applicants. In order to ensure data integrity and provide a fair application process for all, the HPHA is updating its server system. HPHA anticipates reopening the waiting list portal immediately after updating the servers. Applicants should not access the waitlist portal prior to an official announcement of the opening.
